Brian and Owen started MedRhythms, LLC to expand the field of Neurologic Music Therapy and make these services accessible to all those who need it. MedRhythms is a neuro-rehab company that exists to restore the lives and quality of life of loved ones, which brain injury threatens to steal each year. They do this through world-class, life changing care for those afflicted by neurologic injury or disease, using the power of Neurologic Music Therapy.
RockStep Solutions develops advanced systems for biomedical research information. Our product is called Climb. Climb is a platform for data and discovery. Climb helps researchers work efficiently and gain knowledge from their scientific experiments as they step along the path to discovery of the cures for human diseases.

Meet The Judges
Thom Johnston is the Dean of the New England School of Communications at Husson University, and was the President of NESCOM through its integration with Husson University in 2014. Before his service at the helm of NESCOM for over 30 years. He was raised in the family hardware and sporting goods store in Rochester, New York where work and the entrepreneurial spirit were the gospel of everyday life. After attending Middlebury College, he earned a Juris Doctor degree at Boston College Law School, married his wife Patti and raised three children. Thom has been active in the community, including service on the boards of the Greater Bangor Chamber of Commerce, the Bangor Public Library, Husson University, the Bangor Symphony Orchestra and the American Folk Festival.
Jay Darling is President of Darling's, which includes Darling's Auto Group, Darling's Insurance Agency, Greenpoint Auto Recyclers and New Reach Financial. Darling's Auto Group is one of Maine's largest dealer groups with six locations representing 14 automotive brands. Jay lives in Hampden and is an avid Sugarloafer.
Sam Sezak is a partner at Blue Heron Capital, an innovative private equity firm that invests in the lower market and growth equity stage companies. Prior to this, Sam served as portfolio manager for New Vantage Group, a private equity manager of angel investment groups, fund of funds, and cross border venture funds. He serves on the board of Goals Haiti, a kids and youth sport-for-development program, and as an advisor to Agora Partnerships, a non-profit committed to supporting entrepreneurs in Central America. Sam holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the Cornell School of Hospitality Management and a Masters of Business from Georgetown University.
